Tunnel/Subway Monitoring
Construction and demolition in dense urban environments is complex with strict vibration and overpressure limitations, and the potential to impact surrounding structures and services. The growing need to monitor and protect existing subsurface transportation and service tunnels further complicates the situation.
Instantel provides special hardware and software features to simplify the design and installation of semi-permanent tunnel monitoring systems. The
Instantel® Auto Call Home™ call-in feature automates modem communications, allowing you to easily configure instrumentation in remote locations or in areas that are difficult to access.
With our optional 8-channel Minimate Plus™ or 6-channel Minimate Pro6™, you can configure two tri-axial geophones (Instantel DIN or ISEE Triaxial Geophones) on the same monitor, to reduce the cost and complexity of the system. The DIN Geophone supports up to 1 km (3,280 ft.) of cable length, whereas the ISEE Geophone supports up to 75 m (250 ft.)
The Minimate Pro6 offers improved RF and EMI shielding, CE Compliance to Class B, as well as water resistance – all ideal for environments containing conduit and high moisture.
